Abstract: Let us face it! Conflict is inevitable and often necessary when forming high-performing teams. The conflict is not the problem – poor management of the conflict is. We will identify what managerial actions lead to conflicts, how people deal with conflicts and conclude with some tips to best manage conflicts as an individual and as a manager.
BIO:
Ramesh Dewangan has over 25 years of experience in the design automation and Semiconductor industry in the areas of Engineering, Application Engineering, Customer Relationship Management, Product Management and Marketing. As part of his responsibilities, Ramesh has managed small to large world-wide teams.
Currently at Atrenta, He manages company’s core product line as Sr. Director, Product Marketing. Prior to this, He has held key positions at Cadence Design Systems, Tera Systems, Synopsys and Texas Instruments. Ramesh was part of founding team of Texas Instruments Bangalore founded in 1986.
Ramesh graduated from NIT Karnataka 1983 batch in Electronics, completed his Masters in Computer Science from IIT Madras in 1985. He completed his MBA from Haas School of Business, at UC Berkeley in 2003.
Ramesh is founding member and on Board of Governors, of NITKAN, a Silicon Valley based NITK Alumni organization. Ramesh is also very active in public speaking through Toastmasters international. He was Area Governor of Toastmasters, in 2008-2009 where he provided direction and leadership to several Toastmasters (speech) clubs in the bay area, organized contests, and coached club officers.
